Benefits of Oil Boiler Servicing
There are three main benefits of servicing your boiler regularly:
Carbon monoxide is a highly toxic poisonous gas that is odourless, colourless and tasteless. If your oil boiler is not maintained regularly it can emit carbon monoxide.
Soot build-up within your oil boiler’s heat exchanger can restrict the amount of heat that can be transferred into the heating system. It will cause it to run less efficiently, affecting your heating system.
Maintaining and servicing your boiler annually will reduce the risk of costly and unexpected breakdowns and prevent long term damage to your heating system.
What Is Included In Our Boiler Service
Abacus Oil Experts will perform all necessary checks to ensure your boiler is in good working condition. We will also test the safety and efficiency of your system.
Here's what we do during a service:

Complete strip down and clean out of your boiler including removal of baffles & cleaning of combustion chamber & heat exchanger

Replace oil nozzle with a new nozzle as per manufacturers specification

Oil pump pressure checked and adjusted

Cleaning of photocell and check operation

Check the condition of electrodes, clean & reset correctly

Inspection of oil lines & cleaning of oil filters

Check operation of fire valves

Inspection & clean of fan and motor

Examination of joints and flue pipes

Inspection and cleaning of secondary exchanger (condensing appliances only)

Inspection of condensate discharge pipe (condensing appliances only)

Smoke testing to identify cleanliness of combustion

Full electronic combustion and analysis check and adjustment to gain optimum boiler efficiency (print out included)

Completion of the OFTEC CD/11 Oil boiler certificate
All work is carried out by OFTEC trained and registered oil boiler service engineers.
It does not include any repairs or parts.
